As the Public Health Emergency, declared by the Federal and State Governments, comes to an end effective April 3, 2023, the California mask mandate in medical offices will be lifted. However, The Allergy and Asthma Clinic and Peninsula Allergy Associates will continue to keep in mind the health and safety of our patients and staff. Due to the fact that we have many patients with asthma and other respiratory issues, and that COVID continues to circulate in our community, we feel that it is necessary to protect our patients and staff from either contracting or spreading COVID or other potentially serious respiratory pathogens. For now, we will continue to require all of our staff and patients to wear masks in the office. We have masks available for patients at our front entrance and at the Immunotherapy check-in station. The Federal and State Governments do have the authority to mandate masks, but they do not prohibit individual mask requirements. Each facility must do what is best for their particular circumstance. We appreciate your continued support to keep our patients and staff healthy.
