Leukotriene Modifiers

Recently, a new class of medications has become available that helps prevent asthma symptoms.

Unlike the preventative lung sprays, these medications are taken as pills and do not contain any steroid products.

In the U.S., 3 products are currently available: Accolate, Singulair & Zyflo.

Each product has its pluses and minuses and for many patients, these medications can help prevent asthma symptoms and allow patients to live better lives.
